Why do your modules use their own rewrite system?

We simply extend Magento's native rewrite system since as it's written the native system allows to overload and extend one class to only one 3d party module. As you know more and more developers make extensions for Magento and inevitably modules extend the same classes. This leads to a lot of conflicts between modules. According to our estimates the extended rewrite system allows to reduce the number of conflicts by 50%. It cannot resolve all conflicts but without it number of support requests would double. The intention behind it to simplify the live of an average end user (store owner) and minimize the number of support requests.
